Engage Jude Differently

Contend, Remember, Remain
Step into the short yet powerful letter that urges believers to stand firm in truth and live in God’s love.

About the Book of Jude

The Book of Jude, though brief, delivers one of the strongest exhortations in the New Testament. Written by Jude, the brother of James (and therefore of Jesus), this letter warns believers against false teachers who had twisted God’s grace into license for sin. Jude calls the Church to discernment, perseverance, and faithfulness to the truth once delivered to the saints. Combining imagery, history, and fervent appeal, Jude reminds readers that faith must be defended and lived out with integrity. The letter closes not with fear, but with one of Scripture’s most beautiful doxologies—a triumphant assurance that God keeps His people from falling and will present them blameless with great joy.

Structure and Design

Jude unfolds in a single, powerful movement from greeting to doxology. Verses 1–4 introduce the purpose: urging believers to contend for the faith. Verses 5–16 recount biblical and historical warnings against rebellion and falsehood. Verses 17–23 provide practical counsel—remember the apostles’ teaching, build yourselves up in faith, and act with both courage and compassion. Verses 24–25 rise in praise, exalting God’s ability to keep His people and ensure their eternal joy.

Significance

Jude’s message remains vital for every generation of believers. It reminds the Church that love and truth are inseparable and that grace empowers holiness, not complacency. This short letter urges believers to stay alert, to encourage one another, and to rest in the preserving strength of God. In times of confusion or compromise, Jude anchors our hope in the One who is able to keep us from falling.
